What is the value determined by the pressure?
Any body exerts a certain pressure on the surface. It is noteworthy that the pressure exerted by a body on a surface depends not only on the mass of a given body. In physics, pressure is a quantity that is equal to the force acting perpendicularly on a certain surface area. Pressure, measured in Pascals, is the ratio of 1 Newton per square meter of surface. That is why the pressure exerted on the surface by different bodies will be equal, since despite the difference in the mass of these bodies, the surface area on which they exert pressure will also be different. Therefore, in order to increase or decrease the pressure of one and the same body, it is necessary to respectively decrease or increase the surface on which the weight of this body presses.
