| 1) Let’s convert centimeters and millimeters to decimeters.
Interrelation of measures of length:
1 dm = 10 cm; 1 cm = 1/10 dm; 30 cm = (30 * 1) / 10 = 3 dm;
1 dm = 100 mm; 1 mm = 1/100 dm; 200 mm = (200 * 1) / 100 = 2 dm.
2) In order to find the volume of a box (rectangular parallelepiped), it is necessary to multiply the lengths of all its sides:
V = a * b * c,
where a = 5 dm – length,
b = 3 dm – width,
c = 2 dm – height.
V = 5 * 3 * 2 = 30 dm3.
Answer: the volume of the box is 30 dm3.
