This colorless liquid helps the metabolic processes of all cells. Cells receive nutrients from it and metabolic products are dumped into it. The tissue fluid is in constant motion. After a small accumulation, it flows into the vessels, being an integral part of the lymph. Then, through the lymph nodes, it enters the bloodstream.
