What kind of activity did the ancient Jews have?

In ancient times, Jewish tribes inhabited the territory of the Canaanite land, then a very long time ago (approximately 2 thousand BC) they were still nomadic tribes, and were mainly engaged in cattle breeding. Later, as a result of migration and war, they fell into Egyptian slavery. Only in the 13th century BC. they manage to get rid of it. This period is described in the Bible as a 40-year wandering of the chosen people in the wilderness, until they arrived on the land given to them by God – Canaan.
