What kind of environment do you think bacteria with flagella live in?

Bacterial cells with one or more (up to 1000) flagella on their surface are also called floating bacteria. They are ubiquitous in liquid media. However, there are also such types of bacteria, the movement of which is possible on the surface of solid media (the so-called “swarming phenomenon”). Bacterial flagella make translational or rotational movements, as a rule, counterclockwise. Due to these rotations, the body-cell can travel relatively long distances. The movement of a bacterial cell is carried out in the direction determined by this or that stimulus.
