What layers can be found in the internal structure of the sheet?

The leaf is an organ of photosynthesis, its internal structure completely depends on this function. There are three main layers in the sheet:

1) skin – covers the leaf from above and below, consists of 1 layer of colorless cells that adhere tightly to each other and transmit light; there are stomata in the lower skin for gas exchange;

2) pulp – formed by the main photosynthetic tissue, in the cells of which there are chloroplasts with chlorophyll;

3) veins – consist of conductive tissue (transport of substances) and mechanical (leaf shape).
