What makes up the bulk of the plasma?

A large proportion of blood plasma is water, the amount of which is approximately 92% of the total volume. But in addition to water, plasma includes the following substances: amino acids, enzymes, proteins, hormones, glucose, fat and fat-like substances, as well as minerals, including sodium and chlorine ions.
The remaining share (which is about 8% of the volume) is made up of proteins. It is proteins that represent the bulk of the plasma. In plasma, several types of proteins are distinguished, namely: albumin (4 – 5%), globulins (about 3%), fibrinogen (it belongs to globulins), part of which is about 0.4%.
