What mass of benzene is required to obtain 632.4 kg. aniline, if its mass fraction of the output is 85%?

C6H6 + NH3 = C6H5NH2 + H2.
1) We have been given a practical yield of aniline. Let’s find a theoretical one. To do this, we multiply the theoretical mass of aniline by one hundred percent and divide by the theoretical yield percentage: 632.4 * 100/85 = 744 kg.
2) Molar mass of aniline: 12 * 6 + 1 * 5 + 14 + 1 * 2 = 93.
3) Amount of aniline substance: 744000/93 = 8000 mol.
4) According to the reaction equation, the quantities of benzene and aniline are 1: 1. This means that the amount of benzene is 8000 mol.
5) Molar mass of benzene: 12 * 6 + 6 * 1 = 78.
6) The mass of benzene: 8000 * 78 = 624000g = 624kg – the answer.
