1. Let’s calculate the mass of salt in solution using the formula:
m (salt) = m (solution) * w (solution) / 100% = 100 g * 3% / 100% = 3 g.
2. We calculate the mass of water taken to dissolve the salt, using the formula:
m (water) = m (solution) – m (salt) = 100 – 3 = 97 g.
