What mass of water is formed by the interaction of hydrochloric acid with 0.056 g of potassium hydroxide?

The equation of the ongoing reaction: HCl + KOH = KCl + H2O.
1) According to the periodic table, we find the molar mass of potassium hydroxide: 39 + 16 + 1 = 56.
2) Find the amount of potassium hydroxide substance. To do this, divide the mass of the hydroxide by the molar mass: 0.056 / 56 = 0.001 mol.
3) According to the reaction equation, one mole of potassium hydroxide accounts for one mole of water. This means that the amount of water substance is 0.001 mol.
4) Find the molar mass of water: 1 * 2 + 16 = 18.
5) Find the mass of water. To do this, we multiply the amount of water substance by its molar mass: 18 * 0.001 = 0.018 g – the answer.
