What metal are nails made of?

As a rule, nails are made of steel, more precisely steel wire. This is the most common and inexpensive option. Hardened steel nails are used to hammer in cement or stone. Of course there is a need for stainless steel nails to work with the same roof. They use galvanized ones. But in shipbuilding the requirements are much higher. There, bronze or brass nails are already required. Previously, they were also made of cast iron and copper. The history of the nail is quite old, found with a thousand years of age.
