What methods can be used to isolate the substances included in their composition from the mixtures. Give examples.

Methods for separating mixtures:

1 Dissolution – when one of the components of the mixture dissolves and the other does not. Kitchen salt and wood shavings are thrown into the water, the salt will dissolve and the shavings will remain on the surface of the water.

2. Sedimentation – both components do not dissolve in water, but one floats and the other sinks. Wood and metal shavings are thrown into the input and then the top ball with wood is collected. Also, two types of immiscible liquids are separated: water and sunflower oil. Water collects at the bottom and oil at the top of the tube.

3. Distillation – separation of liquids under the influence of temperature. Separation of oil into components.

4. Separation – the release of a component of a mixture that has specific properties. Metal, plastic and wood shavings are processed with a magnet that will collect the metal.
