What methods did the Europeans use to conquer the Indians?

From the very beginning of the settlement of Europeans in the American continent, the Indians were suspicious of outsiders. Sometimes they themselves initiated raids on the white forts, and they responded with raids against them. This provoked many wars between the colonists and the local population.

Also, the struggle often went on with dirty methods – the Indians were not resistant to many diseases, which were commonplace for Europeans. Sometimes even special infections of local cholera were initiated. In addition, there were forced deportations of the indigenous population (the Road of Tears is known, when a lot of Indians died during the eviction).
