What military innovations have appeared in the Macedonian army?

In the 4th century BC. Macedonia entered the political arena. In the second half of the 4th century BC. the Macedonian kings were able to conquer Greece. This was largely due to innovations in the Macedonian army. The main one was the appearance of a phalanx of pikemen, who were armed with long spears of 6 meters long – saris. This phalanx differed from the usual hoplite phalanx, which had 9 rows, since it consisted of 16 rows.
