What natural complexes are called natural areas?

Natural zones are those areas of land where, under the influence of climate and relief, plants grow and animals live, adapted to these temperature conditions. The formation of a particular zone is also influenced by the height of the terrain relative to sea level, remoteness from the oceans and the amount of precipitation. In terms of the area occupied by the territory, the taiga is the largest natural zone on the planet. And the smallest size is in the zone of equatorial forests, which are found on three continents and some islands.
