What natural resources are there in the Andes?

The Andean mountains, like most tectonic formations, are rich in minerals such as minerals and metals. The very name of the Andes is from the word anta, that is, copper, which has been mined here for a very long time. They also trade in gold, iron, tin, vanadium, molybdenum, lead, zinc and a number of other non-ferrous metals.
In the central part of the ridge, there are deposits of gas and oil. And in the Colombian Andes, there are gems, mostly emerald. Angle and bauxite are also found.
