What natural zone is characterized by the greatest species diversity of flora and fauna?

Species diversity depends on environmental conditions. If a warm climate prevails in this area and there is enough water to moisten the soil, then plants can appear all year round, which, in turn, means that there will always be enough food for the animals. However, in most natural areas there is a change of seasons, i.e. cold weather sets in. And only in the humid forests of the equatorial and subequatorial belts, warmth and a large amount of precipitation are observed throughout the year. That is why the species diversity is the richest in the natural zone of humid forests.
