What organ is responsible for the nutrition of plants with mineral substances?

The root system is responsible for obtaining water and minerals by the plant. The root system, thanks to special biophysical methods, can draw in water using root pressure. Water, together with the mineral and organic substances dissolved in it, enters the stem and foliage of the plant by means of diffusion. Some roots may not be deep. In dry places, the root system can be several tens of times larger than the ground part of the plant. This is necessary in order to reach groundwater and prevent the plant from dying.
