Coral reefs are a collection of living organisms that live at the bottom of a reservoir. Reefs form special types of coral polyps, hydras, some algae, calcareous remains of some animals, organisms leading a sedentary (attached) lifestyle; limestone and skeletons of aquatic creatures. It is marine animals that play an important role in the creation of coral reefs.
