What part of the retina is involved in central vision?

Central vision – this function reflects the ability of the eye to perceive small objects or their details. This vision is the highest and is characterized by the concept of “visual acuity”.
Photoreceptors in the retina take part in it. Photoreceptors – rods and cones. They are neurons with processes of different shapes. Rods are responsible for twilight and night vision, cones are responsible for visual acuity and color perception (day vision).
