What peoples were part of the Ottoman Empire?

The Ottoman Empire is a great state, which in different historical periods belonged to many European and Asian territories. Its ethnic map was constantly changing, but in general, the Turks were the basis of the population. A large share in the Port was occupied by Greeks, immigrants from the Aegean Sea and Middle Eastern Jews. Of course, there was a large proportion of Arabs, both Syrian and Egyptian. Turkey extended its influence to the Balkans – there were Croats, Bulgarians, Serbs, Albanians. In the Port there were Germans, Austrians, Poles, Russians, a sufficient number of Caucasians (Armenians, Georgians, Ossetians).
