What period does the Paleolithic period include?

The Paleolithic period began 2.5 million years ago. It was divided into the Early Paleolithic 2.5 million – 800-600 thousand years ago and into the Late Paleolithic 600-13 thousand years ago. This period also covered the early Stone Age – the Mesolithic. During this time, man from Australopithecus evolved into Homo Hebilis, and later Homo spiens arose (50 thousand years ago). Thus, we can say that during the Paleolithic period, man evolved from a primitive creature into a rational one.
