What place was given to a province in ancient Rome?

Rome at one time was a very strong military state. Its development begins in the 7th century BC. since then, the borders of the Roman state have only expanded. In the 1st century BC, when Julius Caesar conquered Gaul, and even later other states were captured. The Roman Empire consisted not only of Italy itself, it included many other states, which were called provinces. Each province had a governor from the senate. Often legionnaires, at the end of their service, received land in other provinces of Rome. The provinces played a big role for Rome, due to which it fed, enriched itself, replenished the army and received many other valuable resources.
