What places in the world in terms of population are occupied by the United States and Canada?

These two countries are among the four largest states on the planet. Canada ranks second in terms of its territory, second only to Russia. The United States, in turn, is inferior to Russia and Canada, as well as China in size, and takes only fourth place. In terms of population, the United States ranks third in the world, behind only China and India. Canada, due to its northern location and unfavorable climatic conditions, does not belong to countries with a large population and is in thirty-fifth place.
