What plants are there in deserts and semi-deserts?

Deserts are a very hot place, where there is little water and rainfall is not very frequent here. But many animals and all kinds of plants have adapted to this climate. In order to survive, plants must have a huge root system and be short. In the desert, you can find many types of cacti, scarlet. There are baobabs with very long roots, the jojoba tree from which a very valuable oil is extracted. The diverse world of Lithops is also present. In places where there are oases, the world is even more diverse, there are wormwood, sedge and other herbaceous plants.
