What plants grow on the soddy-podzolic soil of the forest?

Sod-podzolic soil is formed under the canopy of coniferous and mixed forests. The tree crowns absorb almost all the light, so there are practically no grasses in such an area – the ground is covered only with a litter of deciduous needles and wood debris. All vegetation of sod-podzolic soil has long roots that go deep into the ground. Basically, these are shrubs such as hazel, raspberry, currant, honeysuckle, etc. Broad-leaved species include ash, linden, elm, oak and maple.
