What processes form the bottom topography of the World Ocean?

The oceans occupy about 71% of the Earth’s surface.

Researchers using echo sounder, underwater and spacecraft were able to examine the ocean floor. It turned out that the deep-water relief is not much different from the terrestrial one, there are mountains and plains, mid-oceanic ridges, the ocean floor and underwater continental boundaries. Such a landscape was formed under the influence of external (exogenous) and internal (endogenous) processes. Permanent displacements of the earth’s crust, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions are endogenous processes, and the subsidence and accumulation of destroyed rocks, which move under the influence of ocean currents, are exogenous processes.
