What processes take place in the plant organism?

Breath. Breathing is the process of converting sugars from photosynthesis into adenosine triphosphate (ATP). ATP is an energy source that is used by plants for growth, nutrient uptake and movement of sugars into the phloem for distribution to other parts of the plant.

Photorespiration. This happens when plants are exposed to high temperatures and light.

Evaporation. Transpiration is the process of evaporation of water from a plant. This water loss effectively removes water, nutrients and oxygen from the growing environment and distributes them throughout the plant. These ingredients are essential for photosynthesis and respiration.
