What receptors are located in the nasal mucosa?

The nasal mucosa contains many olfactory receptors. When certain substances enter the receptors, a nerve signal is formed that enters the brain. We sense smells as well as taste thanks to these receptors. Previously, it was believed that only receptors on the tongue were responsible for taste perception. But experiments have shown that olfactory receptors actually play a significant role. If we have a runny nose, then we simply do not perceive most of the tastes. If you close your nose, then the apple and potatoes will taste the same.
