What regions of the world are characterized by a nomadic type of population placement? Why?

The nomadic type of population distribution is most typical for the steppe regions of Asia and Central America. This is due to the fact that people from time immemorial, in order to survive on the plains, were engaged in cattle breeding and, accordingly, for a short time, lived in one place. But animal husbandry, as such, presupposes a nomadic way of life, since herds of animals constantly need water and fresh feed. When the cattle had to be driven to other pastures, people traveled along with the herds.
