What role did the church play in the development of feudalism, in the formation of the ideology of autocracy?

The ideology of autocracy is a direct consequence of the influence of the church on the life of society. According to the ideas of the Russian Orthodox Church, all power comes from God. Such a concept made it possible for the development of autocracy, since the people were afraid to speak out against the chosen king, considering him to be God’s protege. And if he is a protege, then he acts according to his will. And God at the time of the formation of autocracy was a kind of absolute and it was necessary to obey his will. It was this postulate that influenced the formation of monarchical power in Russia.
