What special conditions for the development of culture were there in Greece?

It is correct to talk about the development of Greek civilization. Initially, the Greeks lived in a fairly warm climate. They did not have great rivers. But what they produced was quite enough. Such a life led to a surge in the birth rate and the earth could not feed everyone. The Greeks expanded their fishing skills and became involved in piracy. Later, using improved vessels, they began a massive expansion in the Mediterranean basin. The Greeks were not a single people and often fought among themselves. In the struggle, they honed the military skills, structure and organization of their city-states. This helped them start wars to seize foreign lands and resist the invaders. Thanks to successful actions, the Greeks were rich enough. They had surpluses. This allowed them to support scientists, poets, musicians, and build impressive religious buildings. The Greeks mastered trade brilliantly.
