What stages did the civilization of medieval Europe go through in its development?

Medieval Europe went through three stages:

3) the late Middle Ages (XV-XVII centuries) – this is also called the Renaissance. This period is associated with the beginning of the church reformation or the era of the great geographical discoveries.
