What stages of self-knowledge can be distinguished? How do they differ from each other?

Self-discovery is the process of understanding your true motives. It is formed gradually with the study of the external and internal world of a person. The process of self-knowledge is lifelong.
Stages of self-discovery:

1) self-recognition (the natural process of knowing the world in infancy);

2) “I am a concept” (characterized by an adequate and inadequate representation of oneself);

3) self-esteem (a person’s satisfaction with his personality and professional activity; represents the ratio of success to ambition).
