What states did the Arabs oppose? How did this clash end for each side?

First, the Arabs attacked the richest eastern provinces of Byzantium. Within just a few years, they captured Syria, Palestine and Egypt, and later the entire Mediterranean coast of Africa. At the same time, Iran was conquered. In 711-714, they subdued almost all of Spain, crossed the Pyrenees and only in 732 were stopped by the Franks at Poitiers. In the east, they reached the Indus River, captured Central Asia and in 751, at Talas, defeated the Chinese army that had arrived there.
