What states were formed after the death of King Solomon?

After the death of King Solomon (son of David), two other kingdoms arose on the land of Israel. The northern kingdom was named Israel, the capital of Tertz, and Solomon’s son Rehoboam became its ruler. This state could exist for 2 centuries, until it was destroyed by the Assyrians.

Kingdom of Judah with its capital in the city of Jerusalem. Solomon’s adversary, Jeroboam, became the ruler of this state. Judea existed for about 300 years. In the 6th century BC. the territory of this state was captured by Babylon.
