What structural features are characteristic of mosses?

Structural features of mosses:

– no roots. In place of roots in mosses, rhizoids are single or multicellular outgrowths that are located on the lower part of the stem and act as roots;

– most mosses have leaves and stems. Sometimes the body is represented by a thallus;

– fabrics. The main types of tissues (storage, mechanical, conductive, integumentary) in mosses are weakly expressed, but there is an assimilation tissue in which chloroplasts are located.
