What substances are called simple and what are called complex? Give examples.

If a substance consists of atoms of one element, it is called simple. So, helium, oxygen, hydrogen, chlorine, iron, ozone are simple substances. If a substance consists of atms of different elements, it is called complex. Water, carbon dioxide, table salt are complex substances.
