What substances are included in the biological membrane?

| The biological membrane consists of fats, proteins and carbohydrates (in animals only).
1. Fat is the main part of the membrane.
2. Proteins – provide the transport of substances from the external environment into the cell and vice versa.
3. Carbohydrates, or glycocalyx (available only in animals) – provides the perception of information from the external and internal environment.
