What substances are removed from the human body with urine?

In the kidneys, urine is formed – the result of blood filtration, it flows through the ureters into the bladder, and from it – outward. In its composition, the following are removed from the body:

decay products of organic substances formed in cells, primarily urea;
harmful substances that have entered the bloodstream from the intestines along with digestion products;
excess salt and water.

Thus, the excretion process protects the body from poisoning by decay products and maintains the composition of the internal environment within certain limits.
