What territories did Arab travelers explore?

After the establishment of the caliphate and the conquest of large territories, many trade routes, some of which passed along the seas of the Indian Ocean, fell under the rule of the Arabs. Arab sailors had the opportunity to explore the islands of the Persian Gulf, the coast of modern Somalia, reached the island of Zanzibar and the Maldives archipelago. In the east, they reached the islands of Indonesia, the shores of India and other countries of the region.
