What territories were inhabited by the Western and Southern Slavs in about 5 centuries?

The Western Slavs were pressed by the nomadic tribes. In the 5th century, after the collapse of the Roman Empire, they occupied places near the Baltic Sea and the Baltic peoples. Their settlements went north. This allowed them to engage in sea trade with the Varangian states and settlements. South Slavs lived on the shores of the Adriatic Sea and the Black Sea. Over time, they created states: Croatia, Bulgaria. They had an active trade with the Byzantine Empire, since it was located not far from their possessions.
