What type of insects have the greatest advantage and why?

Among insects, two types of development are distinguished. Depending on the complexity of the flow, it is divided into incomplete and complete transformation. In the first case, after hatching, the larva immediately becomes a competitor for adults, because their habitat and food source are the same. In the second case, development takes place in a different environment, and the larva does not compete with the parent individuals, which increases its chance of survival. In addition, the advantage of the second type lies in the transfer of unfavorable periods by insects at different stages of development (wintering of an adult and a larva).
