What types of feathers do you know? How do they differ from each other? What are their functions?

Consider the example of a bird’s wing. The bird’s wing is formed by three types of feathers: contour flight feathers, contour integumentary and down feathers.
The contoured flight wings are the largest, they form the wing of the bird. Contour coverslips overlap each other in a tile-like manner, forming a streamlined wing shape. Downy wings lie along the contour integumentary wings. They are soft and have no barbs. They keep you warm. Waterfowl also have down – feathers with a tuft of barbs at the top.
