What was one of the directions of the USSR’s foreign policy in the second half of the 1950s and early 1960s?

After the end of the Great Patriotic War (and, accordingly, World War II), the USSR and the USA entered into a hidden confrontation with each other, which was called the “Cold War”. The development of this confrontation reached its peak during the reign of N.S. Khrushchev, during which the Cuban missile crisis occurred. In addition to the nuclear arms race, the Cold War was associated with the division of the countries of the world into 2 blocs. The first of them supported the USSR and communist ideas, the second – the United States. Both sides actively attracted supporters to their camp, which affected the state of Soviet diplomacy.
