What was the attitude of the people of Egypt towards the pharaohs?

The inhabitants of Ancient Egypt believed that their ruler was the embodiment of God on earth. Everything that concerned Pharaoh and his family was perceived as sacred and inviolable. Any order of the ruler was undeniable, and the one who tried to encroach on his power was waiting for death. Pharaoh could dispose of the country and its resources at his own discretion. Even in ancient Egyptian frescoes, the pharaoh is always depicted more than the figures of all other people. This proves that the Egyptians’ respect for him was boundless.
