What was the beginning of the revolution and civil war in England? what are the results?

This was an uprising in Ireland. King Charles 1 wanted to lead the army, but the parliament was against transferring such powers to him, and therefore, a conflict broke out between them. Charles 1 arrested several members of parliament, but then they were released. After which the king fled from London and began to gather an army in order to defeat Parliament. Thus, a civil war began in England, which was at the same time a revolution. It all ended in 1653. Then the king was defeated, parliament became the central authority under the protectorate of Cromwell.
