What was the contribution of Indian culture to world civilization?

Indian culture gave the world one of the three world religions – Buddhism. It appeared in the 6th-5th centuries BC, and began to spread under King Ashoka in the 3rd century BC, in the east by the 6th century AD it reached Japan, and in the west even during the time of Ashoka – Egypt.

In addition, there were advances in mathematics and astronomy in India. They introduced the concept of zero and came up with numbers, which then came to the Arabs and Europeans and are the most used in the world at the moment.

The Indians gave the world Ayurveda, yoga and a number of small religions in terms of the number of followers, Jainism, for example, and the most massive national religion – Hinduism.
