What was the expression of the worship of the gods among the ancient Slavs?

Here we are talking about those times when Christianity was not yet accepted in Russia, or there was still considerable resistance to it. So the veneration was different. Firstly, there was a number of songs that are now identified as calendar and ritual songs. They were actually appeals to the gods for health, a good harvest, and so on. It was also customary for the ancient Slavs to make sculptures of their deities from wood or stone.
