What was the influence of Christianity on ancient Russian culture?

Under the influence of Christianity, namely the Byzantine Church, Russia renounced paganism and adopted Orthodoxy. As a result, pagan temples were burned and all the idols of the old gods were destroyed. Under the influence of Christianity, writing and literacy of the population developed in Russia, a huge number of books and church texts were printed, church schools and schools of icon painting were opened. Christianity did not allow people to follow the old faith, and therefore, the majority of the population abandoned wild rituals and sacrifices.
